The décor and ambience of the camp evoke the adventurous elegance of a bygone era. Thoughtfully curated artefacts, antique furnishings, open stone showers, and a distinctive blend of canvas and brick come together to create a seamless harmony between luxury and the raw beauty of the wilderness.

Each room is generously appointed and tastefully furnished with four-poster double beds, plush couches, writing and dressing tables, full-length mirrors, and comfortable armchairs. A selection of room categories is available, each offering its own unique character and experience. En-suite bathrooms feature expansive showers and indulgent jacuzzis, providing a truly relaxing retreat after a day in the wild.

From the comfort of your room, enjoy uninterrupted views of nature—watch elephants grazing, herds of gaur, boar, and deer moving through the landscape, and, if fortune favours you, the occasional big cat. Most accommodations overlook the forest and tranquil backwaters. Some rooms are set right along the waterfront, others are more secluded for added privacy, while select rooms are elevated to offer sweeping panoramic views.

All rooms are fully air-conditioned, ensuring complete comfort without compromising the immersive wilderness experience.

Welcome to Saya’s Den, our premium room dedicated to Kabini’s iconic black leopard that was documented by our directors for National Geographic and named by The Bison.

This is our premium room, with a beautiful view of the backwaters and the forest across. With a spacious bedroom and an ensuite bathroom featuring an open stone shower and jacuzzi, this room is a beautiful blend of luxury and a classic old-world charm. Glass windows, canvas ceilings and stone walls with photographs of Saya, open on to a private verandah that overlooks the backwaters and forest.

The essence of The Little Bison is to give you a truly unique and personalised safari experience as our guests can dwell in the comforts of personal valets, private bonfires, outdoor showers, bubble baths under the stars, special dinners and much much more.

The Bison’s Waterfront Luxury Tents have garnered widespread acclaim over the years and are consistently regarded as among the finest accommodations in the region. Recognised by Conde Nast and Tatler as the 100 best rooms in the world, these exceptional tents offer a rare combination of distinctive architecture, elegant interiors, and uninterrupted views of the Kabini backwaters and surrounding forest.

Inspired by classic East African safari camps and the grand lodges of the Raj, the tents strike a perfect balance between luxury and immersive wilderness living. Located closest to the backwaters, they offer unparalleled views of the forest, tranquil waters, and spectacular sunsets.

Crafted from imported African canvas and sheltered beneath thatched roofs, each tent features wooden floors, a king-sized bed, curated furnishings, and a spacious walk-in bathroom with a rain shower and open stone shower area. A private outdoor veranda overlooks the forest, offering guests the opportunity to observe wildlife from the comfort of their own space—binoculars recommended.

Our Rustic Machan Suites are elevated above the ground with a beautiful aerial view.

These rooms have wooden flooring and a king sized bed with plush couches and a private sit out with a unique elevated feel. The ensuite bathrooms are earthy and rustic. A true experience for those who want the perfect blend between rustic and a touch of luxury above the rest.

Ideal for: Couples, thrill seekers and those who want something unique, fun and different.

Similar to the Waterfront Tents with classic interiors, these tents are larger and are tucked away by a little thicket of trees. They are beautiful tents for those who want a little more privacy. The Bush Tents do not share the same full frontal view of the lake and forest as the Waterfront Tents but the woody surroundings offer eternal birdsong.

We have two types of Bush Tents, one for couples and one for families with an additional room.

Ideal for: Couples, Birders and those seeking more privacy than the other rooms.

The Suite Cottage is a warm and inviting duplex, ideal for families seeking comfort and privacy. It features two well-appointed bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, along with a shared living room for relaxed gatherings. Distinct from the rest of the property’s canvas-and-brick accommodations, the Suite Cottage is entirely constructed of stone and brick, lending it a charming country-style character.

Offering the finest views on the property, the cottage overlooks the serene backwaters and the surrounding forest.
